Intro to VCD II:
Editing for Editorial
In this project, I used Photoshop, emphasizing a specific tool, to create a digital collage to serve as banner graphic for an editorial piece. I chose an article from "It's Nice That" about the Hip-Hop illustrator Gabriel Amzallag, aka MC Blue Matter. I utilized Photoshop's filter gallery to create a banner graphic that embodied the gritty and goofy themes that are explored in Amzallag's work and the Hip-Hop genre.

I identified MC Blue Matter's influences that were referenced in the editorial as primary influences. Then I brainstormed a list of things that had a similar cultural identity as the primary influences to be my secondary influences.
